Face the world with confidence

More than any other part of the body, the skin acts as a map of our lives, documenting our years on this planet through hundreds of lines, folds and grooves that have formed during times of both laughter and tears. While aging may bring valuable wisdom and experience, looking older is never something we cherish. Luckily science has made incredible strides in the field of anti-aging, some in just the last ten years. Innovative non-surgical techniques such as laser therapy, chemical peels and microdermabrasion can help roll back the clock with minimal downtime.

Of course, aging isn’t the only threat to beautiful, healthy skin. Unsightly blemishes from acne or sun damage can cause significant embarrassment and distract from a patient’s best features. With so many ineffective creams, ointments and gels on the market, professional cosmetic skin treatments represent a light at the end of tunnel.

Why should clients choose

At ESK, outstanding skin care is our passion. In addition to completing his training, residencies and fellowships in facial plastic surgery, Dr. Kwak has traveled the world practicing side by side with the most esteemed and respected authorities in the industry, giving him insight into working with a variety of skin types. Clients of all ethnicities and backgrounds find Dr. Kwak’s approach to be highly customized, rather than one-skin-treatment-fits-all.

During your private consultation, Dr. Kwak will review your medical history, previous surgeries and skincare goals in order to formulate a personalized treatment plan that complements your lifestyle. This custom plan may include suggestions for a post-treatment, medical-grade skincare regimen that includes agents for exfoliation, cleansing, and moisturizing. The doctor may also recommend a variety of dermal fillers to address specific problem areas of the face or neck.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels work to eliminate a compromised, depleted outer skin layer, exposing new, unblemished skin cells that restore vibrant texture and supple radiance to the entire counten spacing-header-second-lineance. Skin irregularities such as hyperpigmentation, acne scars, wrinkles, and sunspots respond especially well to chemical peels. The treatment can be administered at different strengths, formulated to address each client’s aesthetic needs and goals as well as their individual skin tones. Chemical peels that target deeper layers of the skin will have longer recovery times, however healing for all skin treatments is relatively rapid and painless when compared to surgical procedures.

Laser therapy

Over the past decade, treatments such as BBL (Broadband Light), laser skin resurfacing and laser peels have emerged as among the most successful weapons in the battle for more youthful looking skin. Narrowly focused beams of pinpoint light energy decimate damaged skin cells while sparing surrounding muscles, nerves and healthy tissue. The lasers used in cosmetic procedures are computer-assisted, meaning that they are carefully monitored for ultimate precision and protection. Laser therapy excels at eradicating spider veins, freckles, discoloration, and acne scars, leaving the skin with a smooth, refined glow that epitomizes aesthetic beauty.

Microdermabrasion

Revered as one of the most effective skin treatments for targeting acne scars, microdermabrasion is a gentle exfoliating technique that brilliantly vacuums away the damaged outer layer of skin to reveal the healthier, pock-free tissue underneath. During the procedure, a microdermabrasion wand simultaneously releases a spray of tiny crystal or diamond particles that abrade the skin, while simultaneously suctioning them up. As the wand moves across the treatment area, patients may feel a slight tingling, however this is generally the extent of any discomfort. Microdermabrasion takes between 30 minutes and one hour, with clients returning to work or school the day as the procedure.
